Description

At the southern end of Cleveland Metroparks is Hinckley Reservation, the site of the nationally-known annual return of the buzzards. Located in Hinckley Township in Medina County, the reservation is dominated by the 90-acre Hinckley Lake, enjoyed by ice fishermen in the winter months. Another attraction of the reservation is Whipp's Ledges, with elevations rising 350 feet above Hinckley Lake and formed more than 250 million years ago.

I-71...FROM THE NORTH OR SOUTH - exit at Rt. 303 (Brunswick)<br />go east on Rt. 303 (For main area of Hinckley Reservation). continue to Rt. 606 (Hinckley Hills Rd.) and turn right (south) on Rt. 606 to Bellus Rd. For Kiwanis Reserved Picnic Area, cross Bellus Rd. and continue to Kellogg Rd. turn left<br />on Kellogg Rd. -- entrance to Kiwanis will be on the left. (For the other areas of Hinckley Reservation<br />) turn left (east) on Bellus Rd. For Redwing Reserved Picnic Area, Hinckley Lake Boathouse & Store and Buzzard's Roost: turn right<br />on West Dr. For baseball fields and<br />parking lot for the spillway<br />swimming area: turn right on East Dr. For Ranger Stables, Top O' Ledges Picnic Area, sledding hill,<br />Whipps Ledges Picnic Area , Whipps Ledges, and Ledge Lake Recreation Area: continue on Rt. 303 to State Rd. and turn right (south) For Ranger Stables and op O' Ledges Picnic Area, turn left<br />(east) on Bellus Rd. cross Bellus Rd. for the sledding hill (parking<br />at the bottom of the hill) on the right,<br />Whipps Ledges Picnic Area and<br />Whipps Ledges are on the left<br />For Ledge Lake Recreation Area/Reserved shelters: continue<br />south on State Rd. to Ledge Rd.<br />and turn right (west). Entrance<br />to Ledge Lake Recreation Area<br />is on the right.
